Our story
Everywhere We Grow was founded in May 2021 by Katie.
With over a decade of experience working as a buyer in the fashion industry, Katie wanted to see real change to fast fashion and the pollution it produces. She had lifelong ambitions of holding pop-up shops piled with beautiful pre-loved clothes where anyone could grab the type of bargains she revelled in finding on chilly Sunday mornings at car boot sales or charity shops up and down the UK.
After the birth of her son, she was amazed at how quickly he grew out of clothes and how expensive new ones were to buy. And from here, she knew she had to do something. Everywhere We Grow was born.
The Everywhere We Grow mission is about quality, affordability and sustainability. It's about reusing, repurposing and recycling clothes to stop them going into landfill, while being accessible to every family and every budget. She is captain of a family run business - Katie sources, quality checks and tags items, and her lovely Mum cleans them so they are ready to be worn. Her Husband loads and re-load cars full of clothes and her Sister built this website! And she would not be anywhere without her dearest friends helping her (and customers) at every pop-up.
This community goal is extremely close to Katie's heart; the mums, dads and families who travel to Leicestershire to shop small have driven her ambitions to strength to strength. Who knows what will be next?
